Enjoy some fun while you find your perfect spot with this special parade before the parade!
Pre-Parade starts: 9 a.m.
It’s a part of K-Days that’s as important as the fair itself—a tradition that has brought millions of smiles to children and adults alike over the past generations.
Every year the K-Days Parade sets the 10-day event in motion with a sea of beautiful floats, giant balloons, amazing performers, loveable mascots and real life animals. It’s a memory waiting to happen—just make sure to get there early to grab a good spot!
If you can’t make it down to watch the parade in person, tune into Global Edmonton for a live broadcast of all the action.
To preside over this year’s parade festivities, we’re turning to two great organizations who know everything there is to know about teamwork and synchronization—qualities every great parade depends on!
Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (aka The Patricia’s) is one of the three Regular Force regiments of the Canadian Army. Formed in 1914, this storied infantry is celebrating a full century of service and it is our honour to have them co-marshal the 2014 K-Days parade.
The legacy of the Edmonton Oil Kings goes all the way back to 1951 with the current incarnation first hitting WHL ice in 2007. This year they took home their second Ed Chynoweth Cup—proving just how far you can go in only a few short years.
