The history, culture and traditions of the Treaty 6 First Nations and Metis people will be honoured and celebrated in this interactive, educational experience, featuring song, dance and storytelling. Exhibits will include a traditional Plains First Nations camp and Metis tent, both hosted by interpreters. Visitors will also be treated to tea and bannok samples, an Aboriginal Cultural treasure hunt, and Metis Sash weaving instruction. Performances will include Metis fiddling, jiggers, traditional flute, and men’s and women’s fancy dancing.

When she’s not portraying one of K-Days’ most famous icons, Kennedy is a successful performer who has worked with Ray Charles, Ian Tyson, kd lang, Tom Cochrane and Emmylou Harris, amongst many others.Day: July 19-23, 2013

As the only performer ever invited to play Klondike Kate three years in row (2001 to 2003), Linda Keith has definitely proven herself to be one of the best to ever wear the dress. A talented singer, she performs in the dance band LA Express and occasionally dons her Klondike Kate duds at seniors residences in Alberta, BC and Arizona.

At the beating heart of the Banjo Busters sit George Bach and Tony Senger, two enthusiastic banjo aficionados who came together in the early 60s to form a musical group that has stood the test of time. Their enthusiasm for the instrument that bears their name has kept them playing all these years and is sure to delight the ears of everyone who comes to see them play at Klondike Park this year.

Since 1981 Guns of the Golden West has been thrilling audiences with its dramatic presentations based on the popular legends of the wild frontier. Six-gun duels, sharp-shooting tricks and exciting pistol handling displays are all part of the fun and a guaranteed good time for everyone involved.
